Introduction to Laser Marking Technology

Laser marking has many outstanding advantages. First of all, it adopts non-contact processing without damaging workpieces. Fifthly, it is energy-saving and environmentally friendly with low long-term operating costs. Laser marking requires no consumables such as ink, printing ink or stickers. The processing process basically produces no chemical waste liquid, dust pollution and little noise, making it a green processing technology. The equipment is simple for daily maintenance. As long as the laser is maintained normally, it can run stably for a long time. During mass production, the procurement cost of consumables can be continuously saved. Meanwhile, it applies to a wide range of materials including metal, plastic, ceramic and glass, and can be implemented in industries such as electronic components, hardware tools and medical devices.

Of course, laser marking also has certain limitations. The upfront procurement cost of equipment is relatively high, different materials need to be matched with different types of lasers, and parameter debugging requires professional personnel. However, considering long-term production efficiency and marking quality comprehensively, its advantages far outweigh its disadvantages.
